Warner patents all-in-one Blu-Ray/HD-DVD/DVD Triple-Standard Hybrid disc
Warner Brothers are undergoing development of a next-gen single-disc HD DVD / Blu-ray, DVD hybrid. The concept of Toshiba's triple-layer HD-DVD and DVD hybrid is similar. Warn brothers have filed a patent for their innovation.

They stalked a Blu-ray layer on the top of HD-DVD coating. Both the Blu-ray and HD-DVD utilizes the laser beam of same wavelength of 405nm to read data. Since the data in Blu-ray rests 0.1 nm deep from the surface of disc and in HD-DVD lye on the depth of 0.6nm on the same side of disc without any interference.
The Blu-ray works like two-way mirror that reflects the enough light to run Blu-ray and meanwhile allows to pass light through it to play HD-DVD.
There is no info until now about when the new discs will appear in the market and how much will they cost.
