It is for late risers, as sunbeams do not let you to remain on the bed for very long time. But everyone is not so lucky to bow before the sun while still cuddling on bed, I think Royal Philips Electronics have had all this in mind while designed the Wake-Up Light clock.

Medically proven Wake-up Lamp recreates a sunrise to wake you up naturally, thus gently prepares your body to wake up. It starts 30 minutes before you want to get up, and it slowly gets brighter and brighter. The light fall on the eyes and sends a message to brain to reduce the production of melatonin, the sleep-inducing hormone. The light intensity can also be adjusted as pere you preference. The Wake-up Light will be available in France in October 2006 and in Europe in 2007.
