Those who had the good fortune of watching Adam Sandler's 'Click', might have some idea about the innovative quality of VooMote One - a device cum application that turns an iPhone or an iPod into a universal remote control. And now parent company Zero1 has rather ingeniously notched it up by unveiling the VooMote Zapper at this year's IFA show.

Consisting of a petite paper-clip like form, it can be plugged onto to an Apple device’s 30-pin connector. The device requires us to download a free app from the mobile iOS of the device (can be an iPhone or iPad), and by running it, we would have an improvised remote control in our hands. This fascinating remote control/ Apple gadget combo will allow us to 'control' a plethora of electronic devices including audio-visual components.
But the main advantage of the whole conception is its inherent user friendliness that forgoes the complexity of various setup procedures. The intuitiveness of the conceptions proceeds to its convenient interactive features like improving TV navigation by displaying schedules of our favorite television shows. The controlling functionality can be regulated in the novel Edit Mode. In this mode, a user can create a single touch trigger for bundles of functions in a defined room sector. This means multiple devices can be controlled by a single touch on the touchscreen.
Finally, to appeal to a wide range of customers, the product comes in eleven different vivacious colors and cases. To be commercially available by October of this year, the free VooMote Zapper app can also be separately downloaded from iTunes in a few days.
