Vivitek's short-throw projector with 95-inch screen supports 3D

The technology seems to be advancing at a quick speed everyday. Yesterday the world saw a projector from Sanyo capable of projecting 80-inch image and today is the projector with the screen size of 95 inches. Now, that is progress. The 95-inch short throw projector from Vivitek has already hit the Taiwan markets and in this year 200,000 projectors will be shipped world wide. Aiming at household, educational and enterprise markets, it not only supports 3D display, but also features brightness of 3,000 lumens and contrast ratio of 2,500:1. It wears the price tag of NT$79,000 .i.e. US$2,456.7. Vivitek has also planned to launch pico projectors, stand alone and built in ones by 2011.
