Virtual walls to protect pedestrians at red light crossings

Here’s an innovative road safety idea. The brainchild of design Hanyoung Lee, The Virtual Wall is a virtual barrier created by plasma laser beams that flashes images of giant pedestrians crossing the road warning the drivers to not rush through at the red lights. The Virtual Wall is still just a concept, but we’re sure governments around the globe will be more than keen on trying this mechanism out especially in school and hospital zones. Of course the barrier is cannot actually stop an eager dude in a car from making mincemeat of a slow crosser, but then again we’d need laws against stupidity to eradicate such reckless road behavior.
