Shame on you! You need a satellite driven GPS system to drive through the rush hours. What if those satellites were to crash some day? (You do know China has shot one only recently.) Would that spell the end for you? Na, you’d still have the vintage devices to go by. Okay was just building up for the really cool picture that I came across in flickr. The Vintage C-GPS (Celestial Global Positioning System) looks a great relic. It is an ensemble of some really old stuff like a time gauge from bottom of a globe, an old caliper, sterling candle holder, vintage fly fishing reel housing, compass, an old sewing machine’s parts and other knobs and so on. Now I’m not too sure how it works, that is if it works at all, but I surely dig into it. It looks like something that Magellan and Columbus used in their adventures around the world.

At least satellites can to replaced. If someone blows up a star (or goes puff), that thing will never work again.
