Vibrator from Speaker: Mitsumi gives lovers a new musical high

We have come a long way through technical advancements, and now, whatever the technical word does or comes around with is just a run of the mill for most of us. All said and done, often we still bang into things that don’t leave us unimpressed – one from the same ranks is, the new line of vibrators using the principle of speakers, with both vibrator and speaker functionalities, exhibited by the creator Mitsumi Electric Co Ltd at the company's comprehensive technology exhibition Mitsumi Show 2008 as a reference presentation. Mitsumi Electric’s has put out to exhibit three types of vibrators that house this new structure, which helps the new vibrators, incorporating a permanent magnet to be vibrated by a coil, unlike the speakers where the coil at its diaphragm is vibrated by a permanent magnet. There are no specifications or details available on the vibrators yet, though all that we could gather is, that the three types - R-type, W-type, and SP-type come with dimensions 16.6 diam. x 4.8mm height , 24.6 diam. x 9.3mm, and 20.4 width x 20.4 depth x 4.8mm height respectively. One speck, without which the introduction would remain incomplete, is the fact that structure developed damps the vibration, while increasing the efficiency and the frequency band, inspite of the low power consumption, which accounts to about 13mW for R-type.
