Via technologies is working with two computer manufacturers in UK to offer systems, which are carbon free and hence, more environmental friendly.
Evesham Technology and Tranquil PC will both produce systems with VIA’s C-7D processor, which is a low power carbon free processor that runs at clock speeds of 1.5GHz and 1.8GHz.
The first system with this processor is Evesham’s Crusader carbon 3 PC with 256MB of RAM and a 40 GB hard disk. This system with a 15.4 inch LCD monitor runs at Windows XP Home edition and costs $555.
