
HP and Via Technologies are launching a PC in China that will reduce the energy crisis that is being faced globally.
The team has developed a new computer called the dx2020 that comes equipped with a Via processor that runs on a maximum of 20 watts.
The companies have stated that the computer will be marketed in China as a system with a low cost of ownership.
Via has commented that the demand for more energy efficient products could come out of fast-growing emerging countries like India and China rather than developed nations like US and Europe.
Via will have to face stiff competition from other giants such as Intel and AMD which share a major percentage of the market sales of processors worldwide.
Via hopes that their energy efficient processors will be successful in countries like India and China. They have also stated that the company is trying to hook up deals with customers in India.
The Chinese market in one of the world’s fastest growing market but they will surely face some fierce competition from brands like Acer and Lenovo.
