Universal Scientific Industrial (USI) just showcased its latest Mobile Internet Device. Calling on gadgets, design is what draws the first blood – and the MID 160 is a vampire in a case. Dubbed the world’s thinnest MID, it comes with Intel’s Atom Processor. The sleek, killer-designed MID 160 weighs a minor 250g and is utterly thin at 15mm. The product features a 5-inch touchscreen, IM software, USI’s own WiMAX module, and a 3G module on option. Well-heeled buyers could hold longer as there isn’t a word on availability or price as of now.
What’s innovative:
USI’s creation is currently the thinnest and lightest MID in the world. Yet it houses 512MB of RAM with 8GB-plus of flash storage and runs efficiently on Atom processor GPS, Bluetooth and 800 x 480 display resolutions.
What this:
The USI MID is surely there to provide the best internet experience in the ultra portable genre, yet the lack of a keyboard may be the biggest missing thing in the device. Though this pocket-ready MDI has ample internet and web browsing features to satiate the nerd in you.
