Inspired by the Caterpiller Inc’s endless track system, the Mint Robot #3: Music Tank is a music player with robotic abilities that uses tracks to move around. Somewhat like the famous Sony’s Rolly in utility, the Music Tank differs for the fact that it is remote controlled and can therefore be tamed to follow the user around the house playing the best music all along.

Controlled by a Wi-Fi enabled handheld or a PC, the Music Tanks is an intelligent concept robot, which using the map matching technique, detects the location of the wireless router and maps the house interior, with the Wi-Fi Positioning System and sends the 2D map of the same to the device used to control it.

When the user drags the Music Tank icon to the place he needs music in the house, the Tank, stuffed with pyroelectic sensor which helps it recognize user with thermal temperature, dodges all obstacles very diligently to get to the location after the user.

Besides Wi-Fi the Music Tanks supports Bluetooth and a USB port, so you can either plug it to the device or stream music wirelessly. Created with two high output built-in speakers, the USB chargeable Tank can join with another Music tank to produce 3D surround sound music.
