USB flash key breakdown increases by 300%

In our recently published article titled - 'The minus side of flash memory', we highlighted the limited life flash memory holds and it is now proved with increasing number consumers facing the problem, especially with these portable USB flash keys. The memory stick, no doubt, is a wonderful tool for data storage and transfer, but not for a long time.

According to a recent survey, the problems related to the crash of USB flash drives have increased by a whopping 300 per cent compared to last year. The failures mostly occur due to erroneous handling such as bending the drive, exposing it to hot temperatures for a long time or not properly ejecting it, ultimately causing permanent loss of important data.

We must keep in mind that the USB keys are delicate enough to crash under such harsh treatment. However, if you are looking forward to permanent data storage, USB memory sticks are not good choices.
