U.S. Researchers Develop Transparent Transistors for Invisible Displays
Work to make high-quality transparent displays has been going on for years. The main problem that the researchers met in the task was development of materials that should be transparent and also maintain a high level of performance.

But after this work by the Researchers at the Northwestern University we can say that 'invisible' electronics are the next breakthrough in Electronic Science. These Researchers have succeeded in developing transparent transistors that can be integrated in a wide variety of applications like some high quality displays on windscreens, goggles or on a billboard.
The Researchers have used films of inorganic semiconductor indium oxide combined with layers of self-assembling organic molecules that provide insulation. These films can be made at room temperature so we can say that they will be inexpensive.
These transistors can one day make displays which will give us an illusion that the images being displayed are hanging in space. That's Some Star Wars Stuff...! What Say!
