Science in its every tad bit takes cues from science fiction, and from there, Star Trek is the best to jingle with. Working on a spaceship styled Command Center of the Future; the U.S. Navy is doing the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific (SPAWAR), which’ll create an unfair advantage over enemy forces, tackling things anything from network-enabled warfare to management and system design. This USS Enterprise like setup will be fitted in with a 135-inch screen for viewing, besides huge multi-touchscreen desks and fancy equipment and displays all over the place. The SPAWAR will certainly play a major role in the management of future conflict situations, when guns and lasers will just not be enough or may feel all so tacky.
