Upcoming Asus Eee PC to feature a touchscreen

With the remarkable technological success of the touchscreen mobile phones, it was only a matter of time before we got a touch-sensitive screen on our PCs and notebooks. And Asus seems to be all set to take a giant lead over the competition with its slightly larger next-gen Eee PC tipped to feature a swanky new touchscreen. Even though the company’s president denied all such rumors in January this year, panel makers in China have confirmed that they have received orders for a touchscreen from Asus. Since the upgrade will only cost Asus around just $10 a unit, we are almost ready pre-order the new Asus Eee PC which might just be out by the second quarter of this year.
