Undiluted Platinum: Is this the first PSP modchip?

Leaving aside the fact that the depth of the report is still under question, let's rejoice that a new PSP mod dubbed as 'Undiluted Platinum' (UP) is on its way opening gates for homebrew games on the latest PSP systems. The UP will act 'as a flash replacement system for the PSP, which allow the use of previous flash updates, or custom flash builds.'

Homebrew enthusiasts will now be able to do all that tinkering with the PSP software. The Undiluted Platinum is to be squeezed inside the PSP, but we still don't know how.
