Meet this new member of the Underwater Unmanned Vehicles coterie - the Talisman. Rolled out by BAE Systems at Oceanology International 2006 is a boon to marine explorers.

The carbon-fiber genX modular multi-role UUV Talisman features a remote control console and electronics systems. The hull along fitted with remarkable vectorable thruster pods, allow it to maneuver and even turn 360 within its own length. The vehicle communication is via RF or Iridium SatCom and acoustic communications systems. Talisman is also packed with a suite of environmental sensors.
