bubbly treatmentIt could be the advanced treatment for cancer. The UK scientists have found out a new method of treating cancer patients with bubble burst. They are now using heat energy released from bubble burst to kill cancer cells in patients.

Dr Constantin Coussios of University of Oxford and his research team have come up with a new device to study how tiny bubbles formed in body tissue due to ultrasound waves can be implemented to improve drug activity for specific areas in human body.

The research team claims that when the bubbles in body tissue burst, they release heat energy which can be used to kill the cancer cells. These bubbles can intensify the local heating effect of ultrasound, increase the permeability of cells to large drug molecules and enhance drug activities.

Dr. Coussios has asserted that his bubbly treatment may not be reliable for all kinds of tumor. For instance, if the cancer has infected to other tissue, then this treatment may be not helpful.

Dr. Coussios has joined hands with a team at the Churchill Hospital for the further development of this latest treatment.
