Robotics has taken the world by storm and we may soon see robots becoming an essential part of many realms. We already have robots that can perform complex functions such as baby-sitting and nursing. We also know that it is predicted that robotic and human intelligence will be hard to distinguish after a few decades. The uBot designed by DigitRobotics helps you grab things with its two arms and its remote operators act via Skype video conferencing. It was designed by University of Massachusetts doctoral students. This could help researchers by being a platform to develop specialized and advanced robots. The company is planning to launch three robots out of which NurseBot is one, and it aims to be a robotic nurse. Such developments may help people change their views about robots and see them more as a part of life than as a part of futuristic movies.
