TYPEFIGHTER: how to make emailing harder

An interactive art installation presented at the international furnishing show in Cologne, this giant TYPEFIGHTER keyboard allows visitors to compose email and attach pictures all in a public space. Released in 2002, the TYPEFIGHTER enables two users to communicate with each other via a gigantic specially designed interface that consciously contravenes economic and ergonomic rules making writing an extensive physical activity that also users to illustrate their emotional condition through the intensity of their physical input. The concept basically aims at bringing out the subject of interaction between man and machine through 'interhuman communication' that also exposes private communication in a public space.
