Type Indian Rupee symbol from your keyboard

Indian rupee has finally made a mark for itself in the global economy, joining the elite club of international currencies having their own symbol namely- US dollar, British Pound, Japanese Yen and Euro. However it is going to take some months before it is incorporated into software packages or embedded into keyboards for typing-in. But you don’t have to wait that long to write the Indian Rupee symbol in your favorite text editor program like MS Word. You can do it right know by downloading the Rupee Foradian font created by Foradian Technologies Pvt Ltd that allow you to type-in the Rupee symbol on your Windows, Mac or Linux computer.

After downloading the font, go to Control Panel->Fonts, and paste the downloaded font there.

Then go to the MS Word program (or any other text editor of your choice). Search the Rupee Foradian in Fonts selection and to type the Rupee symbol press the “`/~” button (right above the Tab keyboard button).
