Turn a bowl of water into an $8 audio controller by firing laser beams
You must be shocked to hear this fact that, how can a bowl of water can act as a music controller.
However, technology and new inventions by our scientists make all these amazing things to happen. Sebastian Tomczak, an Australian musician/programmer/video game hacker claims that he can turn a bowl full of water into a music controller by firing laser beams through it.
The things go on this way. A laser beam is fired from a cheap laser pointer and it travels a certain path through the water and strikes on a solar panel, which generates a signal of certain magnitude corresponding to the intensity of laser beam. Now when the water is distracted the laser diffracts on a different path, which has a straight effect on the signal. This is the basic idea used and it can be further used for amplitude modulation, frequency modulations, and provide subsequent time delay.
The whole apparatus will cost you for just $8.
