TRIO Map design to assist mountain rescue teams
Mountaineering is never an easy task, and when nature’s fury strikes, even the most astute mountaineers find themselves in difficulty. It is therefore important for all rescue/search teams to possess devices that make the search process organized. When the wireless gadgets give up, devices like the TRIO map can prove worthwhile. This amazing GPS device furnishes a scrollable FOLED screen depicting the map with the position of the rest of the teams. TRIO is highly sensitive to surveillance even under extreme conditions and the fact that it is flexible and power efficient would help the cause.
Basically meant to be used as a communication tool, even a victim’s information can be sent using this TRIO Map. Searching becomes a much easier task as doubtful locations are pre-marked on the map by the leader to be followed by the entire team. It can be easily pocketed as it is a lightweight property, thanks to the titanium material used. We really hope the designer, Grace Tsai, gets some financial backing to improve on this product, as it could come in handy to save many lives in the future.
