As contrary to the convention that E-Ink technology could never be made video ready due to rareness in chance that particles could be made to move on the liquid, E-Ink has gone far above giving a touch of polymer particle coatings and special stuff in the clear liquid to create a trifecta of color, video, and flexibility among black and white displays.

The e-readers like Sony, Kindle and others available in the market, which dealt with the static images, are far behind the task that E-Ink hopes to add in E-reading. But still, Amazon’s Kindle, which have e-paper screen from E-ink, has got some fastened refresh rate and brightness that supports filters for vivid color displays.

In a gradual development, the company has developed ultrabright inks that reflect 47 percent of ambient light that may soon appear in market with Sony Reader. But, this highly appreciable technology still needs a lot of refinement in electronics as well as mechanics before it could get into market.
