Tributaries introduces digital audio converter, the AC100
Florida-based Tributaries Cable has just launched an inexpensive digital audio format fixer, AC100 Coax/Toslink Audio Converter. It can convert digital audio signals between Toslink optical and coax-electrical SPDIF formats with great reliability.

The AC100 digital converter can covert PCM, Dolby Digital and DTS signals in any directions. However, the application of AC100 is not simple as it seems. It follows a very technical process.
First of all, you need to plug the converter in the AC power supply and connect optical and coax digital line. Then, you need to set one switch to select the conversion direction. Finally, the device can be inserted into an equipment cabinet or rack anywhere.
Our latest 'fixer' offers an instant answer to that system-installation 'gotcha' where a shortage of digital inputs in one format or another runs smack into an additional source equipped with only one format or the other-inevitably, the wrong one. It doesn't crop up on every job, by any means. but when it does it's a deal-breaker. In these scenarios the AC100 saves the day.
Joe Perfito, president of Tributaries Cable said in a press release.
The hi-tech converter is now available, and is priced $50.
