Trapping sound waves to form 3D objects
Posted By: Bharat BhushanSharma | Jul 30 2009
We have seen enough of BMI and AI now let’s give it to the sound waves to do some interactive formations for us. A notion conceptualized by design studio NOCC, this is a technique of creating object from sound waves. Dubbed as the Objects of Sound, the project rotates sound waves into 3D graphics generating the shape of sound waves recorded into objects whose names are pronounced. Depending on unique tone and volume of voice recorded, currently the collection - Object of Sound, includes a candle holder, lampshade, and vase. So, a candle holder profile becomes a candle holder, a vase profile becomes a vase and a light profile becomes a light. I want to try this real bad. Thoughts?
