Toyata’s new technology can soon make it possible to draw electricity via thin air. The world's leading automaker in collaboration with Massachusett’s-based WiTricity is planning a new wireless charging facility for electric vehicles that does not require any outlet point and works through magnetic fields.

WiTricity is already an established name in wireless charging system is all set to unleash Toyota cars from the regime of plugging the car in and out of extension cords. The system works through “resonance” that is a superior to other commonly used wireless technology like electromagnetic-induction,as it does not require any contact point between the car and the outlet.
WiTricity has been working on resonance long but only on smaller applications but with this new development, they plan to venture from mill watts to kilowatts with practiced ease. Toyota’s electric or hybrid vehicles however stand to gain from this partnership and now has a better appeal to eco-conscious consumers. It also relieves car-users from queuing up and waiting extensively for recharging the car as through this technology one charger can stand to empower numerous cars all at the same time.
