Touch-free input interface one up to touchscreens

I know this is too impractical a query, but still, in case you’re sick of the touchscreen technology for any reason of your choice, then this in-air gesture input interface developed by researchers at the Tokyo University is what you may be eyeing as a solution. Not coming to the mobile devices anytime in the near future, this unique interface makes the entire handling touch-free. The in-air movements of the finger are translated into commands by a high-frame-rate 3D camera, letting the user operate the portable device sans a touch.
