Records are meant to be broken. Taking the CEATEC 2006 function, Japan, as a backdrop Toshiba Corporation presented its 0.99mm mobile TFT-LCD prototype and broke a week protracted record of a 1.3mm super slim mobile TFT-LCD technology held by LG Philips LCD.
Toshiba TFT-LCD is 30% thinner than its LG Philips counterpart but there isn’t much difference in brightness. The slim TFT-LCD is 2-inch thick, weighs only 3.5g, and supports QVGA (329×240).
To achieve something up-to-the-minute is pleasing but one cannot sit back unperturbed. Who knows tomorrow you will find your record on the sidelines!
