The RD-A1 player packs a massive one terabyte of hard disk storage; enough for 130 hours of high definition content and provide support for both single and dual-layer media formats. There are enough ports in the player to cater almost all your needs, including a network port. The player also features digital, terrestrial, analogue and satellite tuners, a wide array of digital and analogue video and audio inputs and outputs, including HDMI.

In addition, there is HDCP copy protection on the HDMI port and HD DVD's AACS anti-rip technology. Surprisingly, the player only supports MPEG 2-encoded content.
