Toshiba Qosmio G30 to hit Japan in May

Toshiba Qosmio G30 will be the first laptop computer to hit Japan with an in-built HD-DVD drive when it'll be launched here in May for around 400,000 (about £1,950), as per Toshiba. The laptop will already hit Europe and the US later this month. Acer too have launched it HD DVD drive equipped laptop - Acer Aspire 9800 and others too will follow suit, they'll have to.

The Qosmio G30 laptop is powered with a 2.0GHz Intel Core Duo processor and its 17' 1,920x1,200 pixel LCD will be overshadowed by Acer Aspire 9800's 20.1" 1680x1050 LCD. The Qosmio G30 too comes with multimedia features like digital and analogue TV tuners, Harman Kardon speakers and an HDMI (high-definition multimedia interface) output.
