Toshiba presents 2.5-inch 200GB PMR HDD

After Fujitsu, Toshiba is treating media-center laptop holders and mobile computer manufacturers with its latest 2.5-inch 200GB hard drive. The dual-platter MK2035GSS is Toshiba's first Perpendicular Magnetic Recording drive integrated with tunnel magneto-resistive recording (TMR) head technology.

The Toshiba MK2035GSS drive is perfect for laptops owing to its just 98 grams of weight and compactness, delivering high capacity storage in compressed form. The 200GB MK2035GSS HDD will go into mass production in August 2006.
