Toshiba is set to revolutionize the flash memory circuit with its new 16GB flash memory chip.

Using nanotechnology at its best, Toshiba has developed a flash memory chip consisting of eight 2GB flash elements.
The 16GB flash memory chip from Toshiba is the highest flash memory chip built till date. The new chip can copy at a speed of 6MB/sec and has a reading speed of 15MB/sec.
It is equal in size with the current smaller capacity chips and should easily fit in music players and cellphones, thereby offering a large storage capacity.
The new chip is expected to release by the fall.
