Now this is what we call grabbing the customer by nerves...from head to toe. It has been just three days Toshiba launched the world’s first HD DVD player HD-XA1 and today it’s discounted. Some DigitalWorldTokyo’s scoop hunters spotted it for under ¥100,000 at Bic Camera, which is ¥10,000 less than the list price. There’s no specific reason we can predict why Toshiba did it so early, may be it was launched in a hurry sticking to the words. Anyway, it seems like just another twist in the digital format war.
