Dell has unveiled a light notebook Adamo XPS that the company calls the thinnest notebook ever. Dell Adamo XPS is famous for its wafer-thin shape. The device is definitely an engineering wonder with the thickness of just 0.4-inch. What is interesting with the LG notebook is that it packs in all major components like motherboard and hard disk in the deck of the keyboard. Along with its thinness, the notebook has a unique elevated design. Dell Adamo comes with a hefty price of $1,900 price.

MSI X320 is another thin notebook in the market. The device that has a maximum thickness of 1.98 cm and minimum thickness of 6 mm was announced at CES 2009. The notebook runs on an Intel Atom Z520 and features a hard disk of 160GB at 5,400 RPM. The 13.4-inch LCD display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. MSI X320 is just priced at $800.

LG P300 has been designed by the Korean company to rival against Apple’s famous MacBook Air notebook and Lenovo ThinkPad. The ultra-thin notebook weighs at just 1.6kg and offers several stunning features. The system runs on a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and features an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GS graphics card. 250GB HD and 2GB RAM are other features of the LG P300 with an LED backlit LCD.

Taiwanese computer builder ASUSTeK has unveiled a thin notebook dubbed Asus X101 at Computex 2011, Taipei. The system has a thickness of 17.6 millimeters and 920 grams in weight, meaning that it will greatly fit in your briefcase. Asus X101 is acknowledged for its operating system MeeGo. Intel Atom processor, 1GB RAM and 2 USB 2.0 ports are other notable features of the notebook.

Toshiba Portege R500 with a thickness of 0.77-inch and 2.4 pounds weight is one of key slimmest smartphones in the market. The device is certainly lighter than Apple MacBook Air and Lenovo ThinkPad X300. Toshiba Portege R500 features a 12.1-inch tarns-reflective LED backlit screen. The notebook runs on an Intel Core 2 Duo processor U7700 and has all typical features of a notebook.

More description about MacBook Air might be pointless. The notebook has been that much famous in technology circles only because it is from Apple. Both the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of MacBooks are among the thinnest notebooks in the market. The former one has an 11.8-inch width, 7.56-inch depth and 0.11 to 0.68-inch height. The 13-inch MacBook also has the same height.

LG’s Xnote P210 is famous for its slim bezel. Under the hood, the 12.5-inch computer highlights a Core i5-470UM processor that can cloak in between 1.33GHz and 1.86GHz. The LG notebook has a 4GB RAM and a 320GB hard disk. P210 runs on Windows 7 Home Premium and is priced at about $1,135.

T30 Italia is a slim notebook from Velocity Micro. The system is just 0.8-inch thick, but boasts of several new features. The 13.3-inch display of the computer has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Under the coating, the Velocity Micro netbook has a 1.3GHz Intel Pentium SU4100 processor, 3GB RAM and 120GB HD. Italia is priced at $999.

VAIO VGN-X505 notebook is a razor-thin notebook from Sony. The system is touted as the closest rival to MacBook Air with its thin nickel casing. The model highlights an Intel Pentium processor, 20GB HDD, lithium-ion battery and many other features. The notebook is priced at $3,000.

LG X300 is another ultra-thin notebook from the Korean computer maker. The computer is 17.6-thick and weighs at 970 grams. LG X300 highlights an 11.6-inch display with better resolution. Inside the shell, the LG notebook has a 2GHz Intel Atom processor, 2GB RAM and many other features such as 1.3MP Webcam, WiFi, Bluetooth, and others.
