TiVoSeries3: Three new boxes by Sling Media
Sling Media has launched a series of three boxes called TiVo Series3. The Sling Tuner, AV, Pro are devices which let you stream media from your homes to your web-enabled computers or PDAs.
The advancement in reference to Slingbox Classic and these new models is not only the improved hardware but also they give higher resolutions up to 640x480 at higher bit rates of up to 8000 kps.
The Tuner sports an analog tuner for OTA or basic cable signals comes at a price of $180 whereas AV allows you to control a set-top box(cable box, DVR etc) comes at the cost of $180. The Pro version includes a tuner and supports multiple sources come at $250.
An additional $50 attachment will be available for compressing and streaming hi-def signals.
