This prosthetic head is up for interrogation!
Don’t get confused by the use of "prosthetic head" for that’s namesake and your belief that a mechanical head can never be fused with a human body is absolutely right. The head in reality is a 3D imagery developed to interact with an interrogator using real time lip-synching, speech synthesis and facial expressions. Not just that, the head even nods, tilts and turns using eye-gazing alterations to support the communication process.

A set of integrated algorithms even makes this head sing and recite poems when an interrogator asks it to do so. The intent is to develop these heads as agents or Embodied Conversational Agents (ECAs) to be specific, capable of sensing a human (using ultra-sound sensors) and beginning a conversation randomly. These sensors also help the ECAs to recognize the color of clothes to have an idea of the nature of the interrogator and hence vary the conversation pattern, making it more convincing.
