With technology, one can only look ahead. Evolution is now an established norm and nothing better exemplifies this fact than Oxford Ultrafast Group’s latest feat. The Group’s scientists have achieved the rare honor of generating the world’s shortest single photon light pulse. Apparently, each of these photons is 65 femtoseconds in duration - nearly 50 times shorter than any other single photon produced. Another prominent achievement is the fact that every photon produced by the source is no different from the rest. This essentially means quantum computing will be a reality in the near future - making it possible to perform complex calculations that take about 1000 years for traditional computers. The new age has arrived, gentlemen!
