So, finally after hard toiling of 57 workers by putting 11,000 man hours, and a period of more than four months, this behemoth of a screen is all set to make its debut on May 21 at the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. The 332-and-a-half-ton structure is touted to comprise of 158 panels and nine million LED lamps. From the business perspective, the special screen will only be used for special events, like the Coca-Cola 600 (a 600 miles or 965.6 km in length stock car race held annually at Charlotte Motor Speedway).

The unveiling event of the HDTV was started with much pomp and vigor with eminent guests like Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Marcus Smith (Charlotte Motor Speedway's president and GM) in attendance. Smith said:

This giant Panasonic HD video board will be a game changer for our fans on race day. It will give them a whole new way to experience a NASCAR event at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
