Apparently, the designers tried in vain to gratuitously make the device waterproof. We doubt, the current embellishment will make our old no-frills reader more ingenious.

Anyway, we welcome it with open arms, as we do with other weird concepts, and we don't have to tell you that the waterproof fingerprint reader allows you to authenticate yourself without a password. Therefore, now you can take breaks, check e-mails, and surf while swimming too.
