Nike and Apple have tied their laces together to launch their new line of innovative Nike+iPod products globally. The collaboration is kicked off with the introduction of the ‘Nike+iPod Sport Kit’ including the ‘Nike+ Air Zoom Moire’, unveiled by Lance Armstrong and Paula Radcliffe in New York, that delivers an ultimate listening and workout experience by allowing the Nike+ footwear to talk with your iPod Nano.

Nike CEO Mark Parker said:

Nike+iPod is a partnership between two iconic, global brands with a shared passion for creating meaningful consumer product experiences through design and innovation. This is the first result, and Nike+iPod will change the way people run. Nike+iPod create a better running experience. We see many more such Nike+ innovations in the future.

Steve Jobs believes that iPod will act as a personal trainer for those equipped with Nike+iPod products providing real time information with respect to distance covered, calories burned and speed. The information is delivered to the wearer via headphones connected to the sensor in the shoes.

You can grab your Nike+iPod Sport Kit within two months for $29 US.
