The Shark Shield is diver’s best friend against shark attacks

Australian navy has approved the use of an electronic device that annoys the sharks to keep the diver safe. Small enough to fit into adult’s palm, the Shark Shield weighs 13.5 ounces. The Shark Shield’s unique wave generates an elliptical field that is detected by the free swimming sharks with the help of sensory receptors also known as Ampullae of Lorenzini. When the shark is in the eight meters area, the field is detected by the shark’s sensors. Once detected, it causes muscular spasms in the shark, shooing the predator away from the area. This electric device is attached to a six-foot antenna and is effective only in the area of eight meters. Shark Shield , keeping sharks at a distance from the naval divers could definitely save a few lives, otherwise in jeopardy by shark attacks – and yeah next time you think of venturing into the sea furlongs – try the Shark Shield.
