The rock-solid Olympus TOUGH TG-810 Camera

Aside from being the only crush-proof camera available, the latest Olympus TOUGH TG-810 also brags of some excellent high-end features. Not only does it hold a record-breaking resistance to up to 100 kg of anything thrown at it, it is waterproof up to a depth of 10 meters too. It's a fully shockproof camera and can withstand temperatures as low as up to -10 degrees Celsius. Moreover, a simple procedure enables it to transfer images onto a computer or website wirelessly via an Eye-Fi card.

The camera is equipped with a metallic lens and sliding double door function that gives it extra protection against rough handling. The camera is scratch-resistant – so you do not have to worry about handling the camera. No matter what the terrain – the TG-810 has an optical zoom lens that is 5x wide and has great precision and shooting flexibility. A 14-megapixel sensor and a Super Precision HyperCrystal III LCD (3.0 inch, 920,000 dot) produces instant high quality images and reduces reflection even when the camera is used under the direct sun.

When shooting underwater, there is an in-built manometer that warns you in case the underwater depth exceeds the camera limits. Furthermore, there are four great underwater modes/features such as the i-Underwater Snapshot that automatically adjusts the white balance so as to produce excellent shots. If you intend to go trekking, then this is the camera for you. With the TG-810’s TAP Control Mechanism, you would be able to utilize the common controls of the camera in glove-clad hands by just tapping and tilting the camera. The TG-810 is also equipped with a triple-sensor compass and GPS to suit your active lifestyle. The GPS is also very effective, as it can display the natural and geographical landmarks numbering to over 700 thousand that are present nearby. This smart camera lets you know which altitude, longitude and latitude you are placed on, and the air/water pressure as well as the direction you are headed toward.
