The £18,000 Bombproof Bin...might not stop the carnage!

This Bomb Proof bin is specially designed, by entrepreneurs Kavesh Memari and Brian James, for tube stations, airports or such areas that are considered busy and prone to terrorists' attacks. More or less, the bin will be in use as a recycling unit; however, it can send an alert message to people around in case need arises.

The Bomb Proof bin is made up of recycled plastic and embeds an LCD screen where news, weather reports, sports news and delays on the tubes are displayed. The Renew Bin costs £18,000, where £15,000 is the cost of production and £3000 is needed for its installation.
However, we doubt this hi-tech piece will be able to stop another 7/7 situation. Dustbins can't fight fanatics!
