The Global Positioning System has been on the ascendancy ever since it was first put to practical use, and the rise still continues with more and more gadgets adoring the technology. No one would have imagined an asthma inhaler laced with a GPS device a decade ago but, today it is the truth, thanks to epidemiologist David Van Sickle who first thought of it.
The use of such inhalers is still being assessed, and it is believed that such a device would help trace the origin of an asthma attack of a patient. The doctors always find it difficult to figure out the nature of an asthma attack and therefore a comprehensive solution is never achieved. This device can relay the detail of an attack as soon as it occurs, also enabling the doctor to understand the reasons that trigger an attack in a patient.
