The New Beat Dress pulses with rhythm- you can't help dancing
Designer Calle Rosenqvist has designed a spectacular luminous dress for crazy club people that dances wherever the music beat touches it.
The concept is that 100 leds on ten detachable patches (10 on each patch) pulses according to the rhythm of the music to create 3D illusions as the dress is in motion.
Whenever microphone assisted by equalizer, gets a base sound, the microcomputer transmits a signal to the battery in the frontal portion to send pulses of electricity out to the leds to lighten it up. Small lever attached to the microphone, helps in adapting even to low beats inside your living room.
Made up of three additional layers, one of nylon and the other two of near-transparent cloth enhances the led effects further.
New Beat dress is a prototype developed at the School of Arts and Communication at Malmö University in Sweden.
However, as far as the matter of getting commercial is concern, it seems to have great potential to attract those, who are club crazy. At least it will keep you going with rhythm even when you are out to have some bear.
