Shopping goes mobile with the new NEC N902iS phone, offered by NTT DoCoMo, that allows users to take the picture of the desired product, identify it via its image recognition software, ViPR, in online stores and simply delivers it at their doorsteps.
The charm of the phone lies in the fact that it allows users to click the picture of the desired product, even if it is not in the shop, from a newspaper or magazine or television and grab it within no time and without any hassles. Companies such as Amazon and Tower Records have teamed up with NEC to provide the products.
More, the NEC N902iS phone also acts like a credit card with NTT’s DCMX mobile credit card technology. The 114g and 23mm thick phone features a 240 x 345 pixel screen, a 2-megapixel main camera, a VGA-resolution secondary camera, and 3 to 4 hours of talk time and 540 hours of standby time.
