Where was it hidden till now, or let me accept the fact, we never realized it’s really there. Lunar power is here to kick off the much hyped, for positive reasons, solar power. We were so imbibed in trapping the energy from the fire ball that we almost forget the cool dude of the night - the moon. The energy produced by the tides and ocean currents is much more emphatic and consistent than the solar.

Six underwater turbines will encash the tidal force and turn at 35rpm to pour out up to 200 kilowatts of power. Hydropower is not a new thing, but this is, until now untapped, tidal power which is inviting us to change our lives. The depleting natural energy sources have forced us to look out for alternatives that are not only cost effective but are also clean, safe, reliable and environment friendly. The growing pressure of demand of more and more power can not be met by solar and wind energy and in that case waves comes to rescue.
