The guys at SnapStream have done a great series on Monster PVRs. First, they reported about the Medusa PVR, and then Hydra PVR.
The names are their own. Remember, this is BYO project - ‘build your own’, for the newbies.
The Godzilla has the following specs:
4 x HDTV tuners, 7 x SD tuners, all can work simultaneously, 4 x 250GB drives - 1TB of storage space, 112 hours of HDTV recording or 424 hours of SD recording.
Now we know why HBO is complaining so loud about PVRs.
