Digital cameras have earned their place in our hearts for one primary reason – convenience. Carry them around in your pocket and go clicking whenever you want. Now, it’s time to take this convenience to the next level. For those of us who believe in the extra leeway to capture better snaps, Matthias Lange (a designer) has conceptualized a ‘FLAP’-cam digital camera that brings the creatively restrained digital camera world closer to the limitless SLR camera realm. Flip the camera open and you can click pictures at any angle. Whether it is a self-portrait or a top-angle concert photo, capturing the most acute angles couldn’t have got simpler. And to preserve the precious lens, display and buttons for dirt and scratches, just fold it. Interestingly, none of the features of a regular digital camera have been compromised for newer ones. Clearly, we are looking at the future of convenient photography.
